A super sweet delivery from Marc Jacobs Fragrances. Lovely Daisies.
I've had a soft spot for Marc Jacobs since the mid-to-late 90s, early 2000s when I first discovered his collection in NYC (Marc Jacobs International was was launched in 1993). My first close-up experience came by way of a gorgeous pair of brown pumps that a friend was lucky enough to get her feet into. I was an instant fan. Soon after I started to slowly purchase items from his collection, mainly on sale at Bergdorf Goodman's. I still have my first Marc Jacobs handbag, and, one of my all-time-favorite outfits was a Marc by Marc dress-over-jeans combo that brought me some of really really good memories (sigh and smile). Then there were the times when I saw him in the library at the Mercer hotel. I remember he had longish hair and often wore white t-shirts and jeans, a classic downtown NYC look that became very much a part of my own personal style. So this January when the Marc Jacobs Fragrances' team (let's hear it for the team, woo hoo) e-mailed me an invite to be apart of their new project #MJDaisyChain, I immediately threw in my link...
Inspired by the MJ perfume Daisy, #MJDaisyChain is an initiative that invites international bloggers and taste makers into the inspiring and extremely creative world of Marc Jacobs Fragrances. It's an invitation to runway shows, to special screenings of Marc Jacobs' videos (did you watch the live streaming of the Marc by Marc Jacobs show?), to fragrance events and lots more. And I plan to share every bit of the experience with you. So here you go, our first appointment: #MJDaisyChain, the New York Fashion Week edition. Please enjoy the pics!
From the top: Aimee Song (Song of Style), Nicole Warne (Gary Pepper), and Shini Park (Park & Cube) playing with and selecting looks from the Marc Jacobs Resort and SS13 collection. Other #MJDaisyChain bloggers include the amazing Eva Chen (EvaChen212), Julie Sarinana (Sincerely Jules), Betty Autier (Le Blog de Betty), Zina Charkoplia (Fashion Vibe) and Jana Wind (Bekleidet).
Big gorgeous glamor hair and bright floral print at the Marc by Marc Jacobs FW13 Runway show.
At our master fragrance class at the Firmenich Perfume House where we were invited to compose our signature scents. Mine is very woody, imagine a mix of amber, patchouli and pine. Don't you just love the label? ;-)
Stay tuned for more sweet things from #MJDaisyChain. We maybe in your neck of the woods real soon. #fragranceandfashion
