I picked up Life of Pi by Yann Martel a few years ago. I actually started reading it, but subsequently added it to my "to read" pile. Now a film, it's finally arrived in theaters here in Milan, and I've picked it back up. It's often all about timing for me: some specific or even random event of encouragement. When it comes to books, they sometimes make it to theaters before I finish them. But, I always read them before seeing the film. I like to be prepared, especially when the story is intense.
