Good morning Wednesday's Birds! Are you enjoying your Summer? Have you stacked up on goodies from your sales shopping? I've started with a bit here and piece there, but now that my son is on vacation from school and we are weekending on the seaside, I've really transitioned into Summer sales mode. Come on Birds, we've got 10 gorgeous Summer weeks ahead of us (even if the pre-fall collections have already hit shop windows). That's tons of days to looks fabulous. Here are some pieces that we absolutely need!!!

1 - I loved this season's N°21 collection, and this graphic top was a personal favorite. I'll be so happy  to get it on my body soon.
2 - As you probably have guessed from reading ATPB, I'm a huge fan of PJ dressing. So naturally this top by 3.1 Phillip Lim is everything for me. Right now, I could totally see myself tucking it into white slouchy pants.
3 - Acne's two-tone, assymetric, graphic skirt is a perfect way to show off gorgeous tanned legs.
4 - I know that you may think that this Alexander Wang look of a Leather Croc Embossed top and matching shorts is a bit edgy for me, but I daydream about it all the time. I would wear it with strappy medium heel or flat trekking inspired sandals.
5 - With all the amazing front tie-sleeve pieces on the runway this season, this Antipodium shirt dress is an awesome way to embrace the look.
6 - I fell in love with this Peter Pilotto top last week while styling my friend Paula Cademartori for a video. I had my eye on it the entire time, and I so want to make it mine.
7 - I've totally fallen for 10 Crosby Derek Lam while shopping the sales. These wide leg floral pants are my favorite from the Summer collection, and they've firmly placed the brand on my radar for fall.

Let me know your feelings on this selection, and if there is something else that we absolutely need to get our hands on!!

Happy shopping!!!

Ciao Guys! How are you? I'm on the train heading back to Milan after two inspiring days at the Venice Art Biennale. And while I'm loving the pieces that I picked for my last 7-lips installment, I'm already daydreaming about new pieces. Here's why I love them...
1- Have you ever seen me in anything cropped or revealing? No, right? Why you ask? Because after the birth of my soon-to-be six-year-old there has been so much to celebrate, with tons of delicious wine and yummy food becoming a constant part of my existence. Hence, my not so gorgeous, anti-reveal/crop anything abs. I'm totally O.K. with the situation though (wink and smile). That being said, the crop and cut-out looks that have been making their way down recent runways have driven me to the point of obsession. That white Balenciaga bra-top? Don't even get me started. That's a piece I would purchase (if there were any left) for the sole purpose of owning a thing of such refined and pure beauty. But maybe the tummy reveal is not so out of reach, and maybe I should be a little more realistic and start with baby steps. Like this super pretty floral dress by Suno NY. I like to think of it as the strategic reveal dress. It's cut out at the right height of the torso so that it covers your bellybutton and shows just the right amount of skin under your breasts. I also love the below the knee legnth and pencil silhouette (one of my favorites). Guys! I'm convinced! Finally a cut-out for me.

2- How cute is this CC Skye Love Me Knot bangle set? Perfect for layering with other favorite bracelets.

3 and 7-  As a print lover how could I not love a beautiful Erdem print? This wedgwood-inspired print blouse with touches of neon yellow and black is perfect for this season's blue trend and will look amazing with other power prints like these "Nallie" printed silk pants by Malene Birger. I'm totally obsessed with the palette!

4- I've been eying these Alexander Wang Agata glow in the dark sandals for a couple months now. My love of white shoes combined with a new-found fascination with pvc are pushing me to the point of obsession.

5- Maybe like you, I've developed a serious obsession for clutches recently. I mean, I've always used them, but now I find myself actively looking for them and not just for the evening. I especially love this one by Maiyet. The color contrast and gold accents are everything.

6- I was never a big fan of "mystical" jewelry, but I've steadily developed a feeling for the genre over the past few months. I think that seeing a few really strong pieces at my favorite jewelry store here in Milan spurred my interest. And as my fascination grows, amazing pieces like these earrings by the Australian based brand MANIAMANIA are constantly entering my radar. I know I would wear them all summer. In fact, I feel really warm, calm and peaceful with just the thought of myself on a beach with the light at sunset reflecting off the gold chains.

I'm just in the middle of editing the pics for my "Pretty Birds" profile of assistant stylist Chiara Totire (out tomorrow morning), and I'm so psyched that she chose a pair of the season's overalls for our shoot. I'm a big fan, maybe you've seen me in my Madewells on my friend Lee Oliveira's blog? Chiara says that they are the perfect uniform for styling assignments, lots and lots of pockets to store pins, clips, tape and other goodies. Seeing them on her reminded me that I wanted to post these pics of model Tian Yi and blogger Alexandra Spencer wearing their utility attire. To see the full size images of Tian and Alexandra ...

If you haven't found your perfect pair yet, here are some links:

Dark Denim - Current/Elliott on Net-a-porter
Veagan Leather - Wythe on Pixie Market

And just in case you were curious about mine, here I am hard at work last fall in my Madewells...

In addition to my own current obsessions, I will be featuring the absolute must-haves of friends who inspire me. My first guest Natasha Goldenberg is very special to me because the number seven is also her favorite. She even has the digit tattoed on her left foot. To find out why and to see what she's currently obsessing about...

Text by Natasha: I decided that seven was my favorite number when I was a kid. It was just my imagination, nothing special at all. No birthday, no important date. I remember trying hard to find a real connection with seven, but I always failed. Until I suddenly met the love of my life on the 17th. We started to date on the 7th.  His birthday is also on the 7th. Can you imagine my joy when I found out that I was pregnant and that my due date was the 7th? And when the due date came around, nothing happened... And I was sad, like the date became more important than the baby. My only chance was to wait until the 17th. And when I go into labor on the 17th, I ask my doctor every hour to make sure I deliver before midnight. He had shabbat dinner that night, so he replied, "you will have the baby today because I have no time to stay here until midnight." And sure enough, my little love was born at 7pm.  And now I have even more reason to love the number seven.

My latest shoe obsession: I absolutely "need" a pair of nude pointy pumps. I love the way the creamy nude tone looks on my skin, especially when my feet are tan. They also look amazing with summer jewel tones, pastels, and even the season's most powerful prints. I already have a ton of outfits in mind. Here are some of my favorite versions.
1. Jimmy Choo Anouk
2. B Brian Atwood
3. Christian Louboutin Pigalle 100
4. Prada
5. Manolo Blahnik CC

Boldly printed on the back her varsity jacket, Jeannie Lee, owner of LA's super boutique Satine, has SUPREME style. I was really happy to meet her in NY during February's snow storm (she's so sweet, gracious and patient) and to snap her again in Paris. I'm totally inspired by how she's perfected her graphic-infused, preppy-glam and quirky style. So, a couple weeks ago when I was daydreaming about my family's LA vacation, WE ARRIVED LAST NIGHT, I shot her an e-mail and asked her for a list of her favorite spots. Please enjoy the pics and check out her list the next time you are planning a trip to LA. XOXO, Tamu

JEANNIE'S LA MUSTS:
YOGA: Moksha hot yoga. You have never really experienced sweat until you try this class.  It has changed my life.
COFFEE: Fōnuts serves baked vegan donuts and LA Mill coffee. It's the quintessential LA experience.
BRUNCH:  I love AMMO on highland. The bellinis are so fresh and the egg panini is to die for.

LUNCH: Joan's on Third.  Most stylish crowd in LA.
DIVE TACO JOINTTacos Por Favor- so good!
CASUAL DINNER: Venice Beach Wine Bar. A cozy little bar/restaurant where they use crates as tables and serve the best basque food.
NICE DINNER
:  Gjelina.  Cute servers and amazing food!!

SUSHI:
Sushi Gen (422 East 2nd Street). A first come/first serve, no reservations type of place.  The owner owns the fish market downtown so it is worth the wait.
PIZZA: Mario Batali's and Nancy Silverton's Pizzeria Mozza is incredible!!!  Get the squash blossom pizza and Meyer lemon ice cream pie!
DRINKS: Chateau Marmont is a must!!

SPA: Kinara Spa on Robertson gives great facials and massages.  The atmosphere is so zen your blood pressure will drop the second you walk through the doors.
KOREAN SPA: Natura. Get a body scrub and massage.  You can't believe how clean you will feel!

NAILS:  Jackie's is the best (903 n Fairfax).
SUPER LUXE SHOPPING: Maxfield's.

This Summer I met some wonderful new friends, who just happened to be the creative force behind one of my favorite brands, SUNO NY.  Erin and Max and their entire team are some of the sweetest and kindest people you'll ever meet. I smile every time I think about the good times that we shared this Summer. So naturally, you can totally imagine how happy I was when they asked me to curate a selection of FW12 looks for their on-line shop.
Yes! I said Yes!!! I'm still smiling ear-to-ear when I think about all the gorgeous clothes that they let me play with at their show room. FW12 was a combination of gorgeous military inspired separates, SUNO's signature brilliant prints and gorgeous sequins! LOOOVE! And just how pretty did I feel when they organized from me to be shot by their absolutely fabulous photographer Christelle de Castro? Really pretty, cause she's amazing! So check out some of my picks and let me know what you love!

And a special, special thanks to Anja, Brit and Liberty. xoxox

Have you stopped by Lifestyle Mirror yet? You absolutely must. It's a gorgeous instantly shoppable digital magazine founded by Emanuele Della Valle and Francesco Carrozzini, who serves as creative director, and edited by super stylish Chelsea Gombes and Nandita Khanna.

This week the digital mag featured my suitcase and packing strategy. The fantastic story, shot by my friend Bridget Fleming and edited by Nandita, highlights many of the pieces that I can't live without right now. And the best part is, they are instantly shoppable (that's if you like them of course, wink)!

As for my packing strategy? You might not want to follow it, especially if you are in search of a stress-free life. Lol!

In the cover image I wear a floral combo by J.Crew, Miu Miu shoes, Cos button down and Ek Thongprasert necklace.
