This year I am rather pleased with my style resolution. As I shared with the amazing readers over at Bazaar.com, I plan to edit my closet to make room for these two gorgeous looks from Suno and Altuzarra (ginormous wish list), and to donate the pieces that I am no longer wearing to a home for young mothers here in Milan. What are your resolutions? Any closet editing on your end? What are you editing out? What will you keep?

I was so happy when my friend Joyann King emailed me to ask whether I would be interested in participating in Harper's Bazaar's new web video series A Conversation, BAZAAR. I was left completely flattered when I found out, in a later e-mail, that the series would feature conversations between Bazaar editors and the women who inspire them. Me inspire Joyann? Cheeks tingling, wow! I've always admired her, not only because she's the type of person that instinctively looks out for others; but also because she's super-sharp and is extremely knowledgeable about all things fashionable on the web. Here's our conversation, hope you enjoy. XO, Tamu

Yesterday evening Christian Dior's exhibition 'Lady Dior As Seen By' opened at Milan's Triennale museum. The extremely inspiring show features the house's iconic Lady Dior handbag as interpreted by 80 international artists and photographers. The exhibit, which launched in Shanghai and which has also been shown in Beijing and Tokyo is an homage to founder Christian Dior's love and support of art and new artists. I had no clue before seeing this exhibit that Mr. Dior had been a gallerist prior to becoming a couturier? Did you?
And he wasn't just any ordinary gallerist either, he and his partners presented and supported great artists like Man Ray, Salvador Dalì, Alberto Giacometti, and Alexander Calder early in their careers. Even after opening his phenomenal haute couture house, Mr. Dior continued to champion the works of young artists. To honor Mr. Dior's legacy of support, Dior commissioned 24 young Italian artists to create works inspired by the Lady Dior for it's Milan exhibit. Twelve of the 24 were selected to be featured in an dedicated catalog, and two artists were chosen to exhibit at the Trienalle along side the main works of 'Lady Dior As Seen By'. The main works include gorgeous photographs by Nan Goldin, Mikael Jansson, Paolo Roversi and Camila Akrans, and sculptures by the Recycle Group, Kengo Kito and Kohei Nawa. The exhibit runs through November 4th. And you've probably been wondering this whole time, "what's the picture of her holding the customized Lady Dior all about?" It's about Elle Italia giving me the opportunity to participate in the 'Lady Dior As Seen By' experience in their October Issue. The story features the Lady Dior as seen by myself and five other amazing girls, Viviana Volpicella, Micol Sabbadini, Ilaria Norsa and Sara Battaglia. It was a blast! Elle sent the Lady Dior to my house. I went shopping for vintage, crystal flower buttons and rubber insects. AND, I got a glue gun!! I always wanted one (smile). And a few sticky-stuck fingers later, I came up with my Lady Dior which was inspired by the wall of flowers that lined Raf Simons' debut Christian Dior Haute Couture FW12 runway show. Thanks to my family at Elle. It was great collaborating with you again. Always love! And here's to a great handbag!!!! xoxox
Outfit Details: Vintage varsity jacket, vintage white t-shirt and Christian Dior skirt.

Fun News! I'm featured in Harper's Bazaar's August Style Q&A. Here's a bit of what I confess to my street style alma mater:
HB: DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE IN THREE WORDS
Colorful, mix-n-match, inspired.
HB: STYLE ICON
My mother-in-law Francesca. She has an incredible sense of style. Her mother once said she came out of the womb with a certain elegance.
HB: FIRST FASHION MEMORY
My mother and my aunt dressing me up as a little girl. They changed my outfit and combed my hair multiple times a day.
HB: WHAT WOULD YOU NEVER WEAR?
Never say never.
HB: HAVE YOU EVER WORN ANYTHING THAT YOU LATER REGRETTED?
I've worn a lot of things that I probably should regret. But I've developed a style sense of humor over the years, and I usually laugh off my fashion faux pas.
Pick up the issue with the incredibly gorgeous Rihanna on the cover. You'll find another Style Q&A on one of my favorite style icons Holli Rogers and an awesome editorial styled by my friend Joanna Hillman and shot by another good friend Tommy Ton.
Thank you so much to Christine Whitney for our fun e-mail conversations! And very special thanks to Glenda Bailey, Anamaria Wilson, and Kristina O'neill for featuring me in this month's issue.

I'm a huge fan of Style Like U's "Closet" profiles. Candidly honest, personal and inspiring, they are a celebration of each subject's personality and personal style story. SOME of my personal favorite "Closets" feature stylist Sarah Ellison, Fashion Director Gloria Baume, sister and brother Nadia and Hassan, Editor Christene Barberich, sisters Lizzy and Darlene Okpo, Betony Vernon and so many more! I was so honored when Elisa and Lily contacted me for a profile. The video was filmed during the A/W 2012 collections in NY. I really enjoyed sharing my story and hope that you enjoy it too. Check them out at Style Like U.

Yummy Focaccia party, that's what I would call my Net-A-Porter "Shoe Guide" shoot. I was blown away that their team was flying to Milan for an afternoon just to shoot my shoe closet, and I wanted to prepare a nice snack for them. However, I had to shoot a project for work the morning of the shoot and had no time to arrange anything. So on my way home from work, I picked up some freshly baked focaccia from Princi. To my relief they really enjoyed it and took some with them for the trip home. It was so much fun having the team over my house to play with one of my favorite things in the world: SHOES! A special thanks to Claudia Plant, Net-A-Porter's Editorial Director; Stephanie Forrester, Natalie Rigg, Asha Joneja, Amy Turkington, Jessica Mahaffey and Greg Holland!
I love the guide, and I am so honored to be included among inspiring style icons like Caroline Issa and Anna Laub!

Hi Everyone! I'm so excited to show you my feature in British Vogue's April issue. It was such a fun shoot! The super stylish and hilarious stylist Pippa Holt helped me mix pieces from my own closet with the most divine Spring Summer 2012 looks. Bottega Veneta, Jil Sander, Valentino and Dries Van Noten, I was in heaven! The very sweet and gentle Thais Bretas made me look naturally pretty. The brilliantly talented photographer Martine Houghton made me feel confident and like a super model. My dear friend Annina made us the most delicious lunch ever. It really felt like a lovely afternoon spent with old friends. Thanks to the super chic Emily Sheffield for her beautiful words. And a very very special thanks to the most adored Francesca Burns.
